Reading
All children will bring home a Little Wandle reading book. They will read this book in school 3 times before bringing the book home. Children will get a new book every Monday. Please make sure you listen to your child read and sign their reading record five times a week.
Phonics
As a school, we follow the scheme Little Wandle and sessions take place daily. Below you will find a link with some information for parents and some useful resources. Children will be working on Phase 5 in Year 1 and the start of Year 2. Those children who are finding it a bit tricky will receive extra phonics sessions. All Year 1 children complete the Phonics Screening Check in June. Children in Year 2 that did not get the pass mark needed in Year 1 will complete the screening check again this year.
P.E
Our PE lessons are on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Please bring your PE kit into school on Mondays and leave it in school until Friday. Sometimes we have extra sessions so it's always good to have it hanging on your peg.
