School Meals
 
The school provides a very nutritious and reasonably priced meal cooked on the premises by our own catering team. A range of dishes is provided each day and specialist diets can be catered for. The children may order a school meal or have a packed lunch. Children having packed lunches must have a labelled sandwich box.  From September 2014 all children in Key Stage One are entitled to a school meal, free of charge, as part of Governments Universal Infant Free School Meals (UIFSM)
 
School meals are charged at a weekly rate and payment should be made in advance every Monday. Some parents like to pay for a term. Cheques are preferred and should be made payable to BANES. Any absences are credited. Payment should be sent with your child in a labelled envelope with their name, class, amount sent in and Dinner Money written on the envelope. If your child wishes to change from dinners to sandwiches, a full week’s notice is required. Please help us by sending in dinner money on Mondays or the first day back after a holiday. Part time dinners are also available by paying a term in advance.

If you are in receipt of certain benefits, your child may be entitled to free school meals - please ask at the school office or contact telephone BANES Children’s Service Finance  on 01225 394317.

 

Holidays in term time
Holidays will not normally be authorised in term time.  However, in exceptional circumstances, permission may be granted. If you feel your circumstances are exceptional, then please complete the form below and return it to the school office. It will forwarded to the governors for approval.
Admissions
St Nicholas C of E Primary School is a Local Authority maintained primary school and as such, all admissions are dealt with by Bath and North East Somerset (BANES) Local Authority.
