Church Fellowship

Collective Worship

At St Nicholas C of E Primary School all children are involved in an act of collective worship on a daily basis. We may gather together as a whole school, a key stage, a year group or a class. Our acts of Collective Worship aim to reflect the traditions and values of Christian belief.  They give the children an opportunity to learn more about the Christian faith and provide time and opportunity for thanksgiving and to reflect on the enjoyment derived from friendship, honesty, respect, forgiveness, fairness and self-discipline. Assemblies will involve different themes, approaches and activities. Celebration Assembly will be held every Friday and is a recognition of the children's achievements that week. All assemblies will include singing, quiet reflection and prayer.
