BAFTA Place to Be Awards

8th June 2017

On Thursday 8th June, Place2Be arranged for the BAFTA Kids Roadshow to visit the school for the day. Ben Shires from Officially Amazing, Kate Thistleton from CBBC HQ and Leona Vaughan, who plays Jana in Wolfblood, came to the school.  They took KS2 for an amazing     assembly and presented Alice, Kelsey, Evie and Finley with prizes for winning the BAFTA 70 competition, which involved children writing about and drawing their earliest memory of films or

television. Katie, Ben and Leona then visited each class, answering questions, signing autographs and taking photos with the children.  In the afternoon years 5 and 6 were treated to a masterclass in

Presenting on TV.  The children loved it and the BAFTA team said to Annie at Place2Be that the children were the best children they had met on the Roadshow Tour.  It seems we have some budding stars of the future. Keep an eye out on the BAFTA Kids website forupcoming competitions.
