Welcome to St Nicholas CE Primary School

At St Nicholas C of E Primary School we are committed to achieving excellence in all we do, caring for each child by providing a high quality of education within a rich, stimulating and supportive Christian environment, where every child feels secure and happy in order to achieve their full potential and grow into a responsible citizen.

We believe that every child should have the best possible care and education. The teachers, support staff and governors work hard together to ensure that the children learn in an exciting, safe environment and are challenged and stimulated so that they achieve their very best and are given the foundations to be successful lifelong learners.

The best way to find out about our school is to come and visit, please do not hesitate to call in and see us.  We would be delighted to show you around so that you can meet us all and experience our learning community’s friendly, happy atmosphere. We sincerely hope that you will become interested and involved with the school and look forward to working together as a learning partnership.

Our School Environment

St Nicholas C of E (VC) Primary opened in September 2005 educating children between 4 and 11 years of age, with a capacity of 280 children.  It is near the centre of Radstock, a small town 10 miles from the centre of Bath. St Nicholas Pre-School and Radstock Nursery have premises in the ground and are part of our 0-11 learning campus.

The school has 9 classrooms, a library, computing suite, large school hall, community hall and quiet rooms. The school is fully accessible for children with physical impairments. There are two playgrounds, a sports field and a large landscaped area to play in and for explore. As a school we aim to promote creative play and have excellent facilities including a quiet garden, outdoor classroom, wooden pirate ship, wooden play structure, storytelling chair, see-saws and slides for the children to enjoy.

We are very fortunate to have such a beautiful learning and working environment. The classrooms lead out onto the school grounds and are well resourced.  Each class also has their own fruit and vegetable planter which they tend to throughout the year.
